OAC (Oficina d'Atencio Ciutadana, City Service Office) is a municipal office of Ajuntament de Barcelona: it produces padrón and background notes, registers documents, and records a part of services without recording, a part of a suita previa [1][2].

What is OAC?

OAC (Oficina d'Atencio Ciutadana, in Spanish) is a front-end channel through which Barcelona residents receive information and process urban procedures. Offices are part of the Information and Services Service of the Citizens of Ajuntament de Barcelona (Direccio de Serveis d'Información i Atencio Ciutadana) [1][5].

What are they doing at the OAC without recording?

Without a record, the OAC is accepted throughout the entire period of operation: provide information, register documents addressed to Ajuntament, arrange Targeta Rosa and Padron for the newborn, receive police reports and take any urgent procedure [2].

The reception is not guaranteed without recording, so you can have a day and an hour at the office on the next day. [2].

What procedures do you need a record for?

The record is recommended for procedures that take longer. [2]:

  • padrón: registration, change of address, volant de residéncia and volant de convivéncia, change of data;
  • Urban taxes: IBI (real estate tax), IVTM (car tax), fines;
  • Registration of documents addressed to other administrations;
  • AREA: Green parking area for residents;

Do you need a record of the OAC in Barcelona?
