Should we declare cash when entering Spain?
At the Spanish border, cash from 10,000 per person per movement is declared before verification: article 34 Ley 10/2010 [1]When entering outside the EU, the E-1 form is given to Customs officers and, if not, to Customs officers before moving electronically or personally [2]The payment of both travel cheques and outstanding prepaid cards is considered to be payment (art. 34.3) [1]. For failure to pay a fine of 600 er up to 50 per cent (Article 57.3) and for temporary withdrawal of money (Article 35.2) [1].
