Item 84
What is a padró and does it prove the legality of residence in Spain?
Padró ubicipal d'habitants is a register of residents of the municipality on Ley 7/1985 (LBRL): Article 15 requires everyone living in Spain to register where he lives permanently and in several places where he spends more time a year. [1]Article 18.2 adds: the inclusion of an alien in the padró does not prove the legality of residence or confer rights that are not provided for in the law [1]It's an address, not a migration status.
